How to place your puppies on PickMePets.
Ten steps from an empty account to a published puppy taking enquiries. It takes about half an hour the first time, and about five minutes for every litter after that.
PickMePets is the marketplace side of KennelBoss. You do not manage two accounts or copy anything between them: you keep your breeding records in KennelBoss, and publishing a puppy is a button on the record you already have. That is the whole design — the advert is a view of the litter, not a second document that drifts out of date.
From an empty account to a reserved puppy.
Steps one and two are once, ever. Steps three onwards are what you repeat for each litter.

Create your kennel profile
Kennel name, location, your story and a photograph. This becomes your public breeder page, and it is the first thing a buyer clicks after they find a puppy they like — so it is worth twenty minutes rather than two.

Add the dam and the sire
Their details carry into every litter and every puppy automatically. Health testing and colour genetics entered here show up on the listings without you typing them again.

Create the litter
Pick the dam and sire, set the whelp date and the expected go-home date. An upcoming litter can be published before the puppies arrive, which is how you build a waitlist during the pregnancy.

Add the puppies
One record each: name or collar colour, sex, colour, markings and price. Each puppy becomes its own listing with its own page, because buyers fall for a specific puppy rather than a litter.

Add photographs and a short video
Daylight, at the puppy's eye level, no flash. A few seconds of the puppy moving does more than another still. This is the part that decides whether the listing works.

Publish — $9.99 per puppy
Charged once, when the listing goes live, on a puppy priced at $500 or more. On Monthly and Yearly, listings are included and there is nothing to pay per puppy.

Answer enquiries in one inbox
Every message attaches to the puppy it is about, so you are never guessing which buyer meant which puppy at eleven at night.

Book the video call
The buyer picks a slot from your availability and the call happens inside the app. This is where most sales are actually made.

They reserve with $500
The deposit settles to you and the puppy comes off the market immediately, so nobody else enquires about a puppy that is already spoken for. You take the remaining balance at pickup.

Sign the contract and hand over
Contract signed by both parties in the app, then mark the puppy delivered with a photograph. That record is what protects you if anything is ever disputed.
What a listing needs to go live.
- A price of $500 or more — this is enforced when you publish, not after.
- At least one clear photograph of that individual puppy.
- Sex, colour and date of birth.
- The dam on record; the sire if you have him.
- A kennel profile with a location, so buyers can filter by distance.
- A payout account connected, so the deposit has somewhere to land.
The three things buyers actually read.
The photographs. More listings fail on dark, cluttered pictures than on price. One well-lit photograph of the puppy at eye level outperforms six taken from standing.
The temperament line. Two honest sentences about this specific puppy — bold, steady, the one who follows you — sell better than a paragraph about the breed, which they have already read five times.
The health testing. Put the parents’ results on the listing. A buyer comparing two litters at the same price picks the one that showed its work.
How much does it cost to list a puppy on PickMePets?+
$9.99 per puppy on the Per Puppy plan, charged once when the listing goes live. On Monthly ($49.99) and Yearly ($449) listings are unlimited and included. There is no renewal charge on a listing and no percentage taken from the sale.
Why does my puppy have to be priced at $500 or more?+
Because the reservation deposit is a fixed $500 and it has to fit inside the price. It is checked at the moment you publish, so a puppy priced below that will not go live — better to know now than after you have written the listing.
How long does a listing stay up?+
Until the puppy is reserved or you take it down. A puppy comes off the marketplace automatically the moment a deposit is paid, so you are not fielding enquiries about a puppy that has gone.
Can I list puppies before they are born?+
Yes — publish the litter as an upcoming litter and buyers can register interest before whelping. The individual puppy listings go up once the puppies are here and you know what you have.
What happens when a buyer pays the deposit?+
The $500 settles to you rather than sitting in escrow, because it is your compensation for holding the puppy. The puppy comes off the market, the buyer appears in your reservations, and you arrange the balance and the hand-off from there. If PickMePets introduced that buyer, a flat $100 introduction fee comes out of the deposit — so you receive $400 and owe nothing afterwards.
Do I need the app, or can I do this on a computer?+
Either. The full dashboard runs in a browser and the iPhone app does the same job — most breeders add the photographs on the phone because that is where the photographs are, and do the longer writing on a computer.
