Timed to be useful, not noisy

A heat is predicted from that dam's own cycle history and flagged about a week ahead. Breeding milestones land on day 30 for a heartbeat check, day 58 for the earliest she could whelp, and day 63 for the target date. A litter turning six weeks is pushed the day before, because that is when the vaccine schedule starts.

It opens the thing it is about

Tapping a heat alert opens that dam. A claim opens that claim, a message opens that conversation, an expense reminder opens that expense. An alert that lands you on a home screen is an alert that made you do the work twice.

You choose the channels

Push, email and the in-app feed are separate. Turning off breeding emails does not turn off the record — the alert still reaches you somewhere you can find it later.

What will it actually notify me about?

Will it wake me up over nothing?
